Sometimes the cockpit AP button is on (little green dot),but in the AP window HDG and ALT is tickedoff,i think its just a display thing and it doesnt matter but hey, trying to give you guys as much details as possible. I even tried with fixes, felt like it understood where to head at but banking crazy =sĪrghh my explanations might be a bit bad i m not english native I do the speed manually by the way, dont use AT. The plane usually banks in order to get on the heading, but as i said the heading the plane gets on is usually off what i need in order to get a fine landing =s Once i m in range i activate LOC and APP in cockpit (i can do the AP window but in cockpit is more realistic so.) What i do is,after i m in the air and rolling (example 10000ft/340kts) i set a "random" heading in order to fly a bit aside from the ILS track i will later engage. Well for the heading,i usually try to manually be not too much off ILS heading

Interresting thing,in some flights,i would go back to Radio setting and my HDG of approach would have changed.without me changing it.is it normal? The 787 kept making sharp banks to right and left even very close to runway,i was about right HDG,it just had to make slight changes, but those were large and sharp =s the pitch was taken in charge auto for the 787 though The 777 did not align me properly,i ended up landing in middle of KSFO with wrong direction.basically going in diagonal from right HDG =s and also.i had to do the pitch manually, even with LOC/APP engaged i could change it with yoke. Ok so i tried KNUQ to KSFO 28R as shown in your post dany, tried it with 777 and 787 I didnt know for the range,i ll take this in consideration from now.ĭany,i actually enter the info in the right cases, its just that its called selected on 777 and standy on 787. Should i be using the LNAV or the LOC/APP or BOTH!?Īs you see i might not know whats the exact proper way to use/configurate the ILS Is there a special time when to activate ILs?a certain range? I either have a plane going right the left then right sharply for the 787 or i get a plane who slowly goes off runway heading,or slowly pull up even though your 5nm from runway and its time to head down! for the 777 Well the plane doesn't seem to understand where to head at. When i m visually (on mp map) on good heading for runway i either (for 777/787) use the autopilot window and tick Nav 1 and Glideslope 1 or i use Loc and APP buttons right in cockpit I head toward the airport in Ap most of times, with just a heading and Alt hold setting. I have watched all the vids and read forums about it but could never find a true fitting answer.Īll i want is to be able to use ILS,basically what i do,as seen in tutorial i get my airport info (localizer and angle of approach) and and type them in the radio setting/radio stack both standby and radial. This time concerning both "Built in/default" 777-200ER and the 787 downloaded here I m posting this for an other AP/ILS problem
