There is no GPA requirement for incoming new students however, continuing promise students will need to maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA to maintain eligibility for the program. What if I was not accepted into the program due to funding being exhausted? Can I still participate in the Promise program? Students are notified by email when they are officially accepted into the program as early as May once eligible students have successfully enrolled in 12 units of Fall course work. When will I know if I have been accepted into the promise program? Dual/concurrent enrollment students, special admit students, and other high school students who took college classes while still in high school are eligible for Irvine Valley Promise. The IVC Promise Program acceptance is first-come, first-served until program funding is exhausted. Students who meet eligibility criteria will be contacted at their IVC student email about completing the steps to participate. Along with two years of tuition coverage, Irvine Valley Promise Program provides bookstore vouchers, designated counseling services, and other academic/career resources for Promise students to help them be successful.
